Bespoke Case for a Harley-Davidson 🏍️
At Crating Solutions, every shipment is different, and every project deserves the same attention to detail. Recently, we had the pleasure of packing a stunning Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was heading to its new home in Norway.
Built for International Transport 🔨🌍
For this shipment, we constructed a bespoke export case using ISPM 15 heat-treated timber, ensuring it met international shipping regulations. Using certified heat-treated timber means the case complies with import requirements for countries around the world, including Norway.
To provide additional protection, the inside of the case was lined with our blue waterproof protective lining. This creates a barrier against moisture and helps protect the motorcycle from water, condensation and dirt during transit.
Securing the Motorcycle 🛡️
Motorcycles require careful securing to prevent movement throughout their journey. Once positioned inside the case, the Harley-Davidson was firmly secured using specially positioned timber supports.
Extra timber bracing was added around the bike to minimise movement during transport, helping to keep it stable throughout handling, shipping and final delivery. Our goal is always to ensure there is little to no movement inside the case, reducing the risk of damage during transit.
Safe Transport & Delivery 🚚
With the motorcycle safely packed, protected and fully secured, it was ready to begin its journey to Norway and its new owner.
